Bypass POS or Referrer
Updated over 2 weeks ago

Bypass Referrer or Bypass POS means that when a user performs an action, such as completing a payment through a POS (Point of Sale terminal), they temporarily leave the website to process the transaction. Upon returning to the site, the system identifies them as "referrer" traffic and shows the payment gateway's URL as the referral source. This can cause attribution issues, as the conversion is assigned to the "referrer" instead of the original channel.

With Bypass Referrer or Bypass POS, you can specify which referrers you want the platform to ignore. This way, when the system detects a hit with a referrer you’ve marked as excluded, it disregards it ("skips it"). It assigns the conversion to the original traffic source that led the user to the site just before leaving to complete the payment.
