How to track Google Ads Campaigns

SEAL reads the utms located in your URLs,

Adding these URL tracking templates in your Google Ads Campaigns, SEAL can track campaigns, terms/keywords or placement, or productids from Google Ads.

  • Google Search & Display (GDN):
    {lpurl}?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign={Campaignid}&utm_term={ifsearch:{keyword}_{matchtype}}{ifcontent:{placement}} 
  • Google Shooping:
    {lpurl}?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign={Campaignid}&utm_term={_term}
    And add this custom parameter:
     {_term} = Gshopping-{product_partition_id}
  • DSA Campaigns:
    {lpurl}?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign={Campaignid}&utm_term={targetid}
  • Only Display Campaigns:
    {lpurl}?utm_medium=cpc&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign={Campaignid}&utm_term={placement}

Following these instructions, you can add the Google Ads valuetrack parameters directly under the Account level. Then, Google Ads will automatically add the value track parameters in all your campaigns, even in the new ones.

How to add the tracking template in google analytics.

On the other hand, if you don’t want to work with the value track, SEAL can detect the Google’s gclid parameter and assign the click to “google-ads” source, campaign, and term.
