If Sealmetrics doesn’t use User IDs in Super-Privacy mode, how can it attribute traffic and conversions?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Instead of using personal identifiers, Sealmetrics uses a Source ID.

  • The Source ID is generated from the traffic parameters (source + medium + campaign + term OR referrer).

  • Any visit coming from the same traffic parameters shares the same Source ID.

  • This allows Sealmetrics to group page views and conversions by campaign or channel without linking them to a specific user.

This method provides valuable attribution data while staying compliant with GDPR and ePrivacy regulations.
